Getting Started and FAQs
The best way to begin your Pilates practice at Pilates Lund is with an Introductory Package for Reformer/Tower group classes, Individual sessions, or Duet sessions if you would like to train with a friend or relative.
You can see package options by choosing Purchase a Package in the menu. Click on the icon of two horizontal lines in the upper right hand corner at the top of your screen if you are on your mobile phone.
If you would like to see the group class schedule before purchasing a package, please choose Book a Small Group Class in the menu. Class schedules can vary slightly depending on instructor availability, but in general we have 4 evening group classes, 2 weekday lunchtime classes, 2 morning classes on Saturdays and 2 afternoon classes on Sundays.
If you would like to see availability for Individual and Duet sessions before purchasing a package, please choose Book an Individual or Duet Session in the menu. If you are interested in Individual or Duet sessions but do not see a time that works for you, please contact Pilates Lund using the form in the Contact section.
Q) Can I get a friskvårdsbidrag kvitto?
Absolutely! Before you purchase a package, make sure that you have registered your personal number and your full address in your Wondr account. A receipt will automatically be generated for your purchase.
Q) I’ve never done Pilates before. Can I begin with a group class?
If you don’t have any current injuries, chronic pain, or other movement limitations, you are welcome to begin with a group class. Group classes have a maximum of 4 participants. Start with a Beginner/Intermediate class or an Open Level class. If you have any injuries, chronic pain, or other movement limitations, it is best to begin with a private lesson so you can discuss your needs with your instructor and decide together if individual or group instruction works best for you.
Q) What do I need to bring with me to class?
The only thing you need to bring to class is clothes that are easy to move in and a small hand towel if you would like to use one. There is a bathroom with a small changing area to change into your workout clothes. We work barefoot or with socks if you prefer. Water is provided but many people bring their own water bottle for convenience.
Q) I’m pregnant, can I still do Pilates at Pilates Lund?
Pilates is one of the best things you can do to keep yourself fit during pregnancy and prepare yourself for childbirth! You are welcome to book Individual sessions throughout your pregnancy. If you already have significant Pilates experience, you are welcome to join group Reformer/Tower classes during your first trimester and into your second trimester as long as you can comfortably be on your back for a few minutes at a time. Group Reformer/Tower classes are not appropriate during the 3rd trimester. If you are new to Pilates, please first book an Individual session so your instructor can assess if group classes are appropriate for you.
